AWRI Obsession, a Metschnikowia Pulcherrima yeast strain selected in collaboration with the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is known for its ability to significantly increase the color intensity of red wines.

This yeast produces hints of black fruits and is able to hide green characters.
Low producer of SO2, so the sulfur produced is derived from sequentially inoculated Saccharomyces.
