MARSALBOTTI: MADE IN ITALY SINCE 1863
Wine aging barrels
It is from the best oak forests on the continent that the raw material used in production comes from.
In France, the undoubtedly most famous forest is that of Troncais, where Marsalbotti has long-standing partnerships with artisan sawmills specializing in the production of staves.
Marsalbotti operates only fire-bending and bending of the staves. The fire softens the wood, lowers the tannic share and bitter notes. Heating with small braziers relative to the diameter of the barrel allows a very slow thermal rise, without excessive formation of roasting aromas and smoke.
