Murua’s French oak “ExperTi Selection” barrique is characterized by its respect for varietal characteristics.
It brings structure and flavor balance to the palate.
Aroma descriptors range from notes of clove and pepper in the medium roast while with medium+ roast, spicy and mineral aromas, roasted almonds, coffee and dark chocolate appear.
Slow and deep toasting. Through strict control of time and temperature, we produce the barrel according to the characteristics of the wine to be aged. The different types of toasting generate unique profiles that will characterize the wines.
Medium toast: Provides aromatic richness while respecting terroir and varietal character.
Medium+ toast: To bring sweetness, volume and roundness, particularly for fine wines and longer aging processes.
Traceability: Each barrel has a unique identification code.
Analysis: regular checks of chloranisoles and chlorophenols available to the customer.
Tightness: verified on all barrels.
